How do I create or change Order Lists?
You can create customized Order Lists in Fixably, allowing Orders to be filtered and organized in any way you choose.
Table of Contents
Overview
Order lists are saved views of your orders. Each list is a name plus a set of filters, for example "open orders at my location whose parts have arrived". Your lists appear under Orders in the Navigation Sidebar, each with a count of the orders it matches. Click one and the orders screen opens with those filters already applied.
Order lists are personal. The lists you create are yours and don't change what your colleagues see.
This article walks through the everyday tasks: creating, changing, reordering and deleting lists, getting the default lists back, and copying lists between users. For a description of every filter, see the Order Lists User Guide.
Built-in Order Lists
Until you create your own lists, Fixably shows a built-in set under Orders in the Navigation Sidebar. Most of them use your default service location (see the next section).

- My orders – open orders where you are the handler.
- In queue – open orders at your location that are in service but not yet assigned to a technician.
- In queue (all) – the same, including orders whose device has not been received yet.
- Incoming – open, unassigned orders at your location whose device is still with the customer.
- Ready – closed orders at your location whose device is still in service, waiting to be picked up.
- Completed – closed orders at your location whose device is back with the customer.
- Depending on the features enabled for your account, you may also see Scheduled internal, Scheduled GSX, Appointments or Ack List.
Note: As soon as you create your first list, the menu shows your lists instead of the built-in set. To keep the built-in lists next to your own, click Add missing default lists (see Adding the default lists).
Setting a Default Service Location
Filters such as my location read your default service location. If it is not set, those lists show no orders.
- From the Fixably Home Screen, open your User Name menu in the top-right corner and click User Settings.

- On the General tab, click Expand next to General.
- Choose your Default service location.

- Click Save Settings.
Creating an Order List
In this example a technician creates a list of open orders at their location whose parts have arrived.
- Open your User Name menu, click User Settings and select the Order lists tab.

- Click New order list. A panel opens on the right.
- Enter a Name. This is the name shown in the Navigation Sidebar, so keep it short: long names are cut off in the menu.

- Click + Add filter. Pick a filter from the list or type to search for one. Status flags (such as Open) apply as soon as you pick them. Filter values (such as Status type or Location) open a card where you choose the values.

- For a value filter, pick a value from the -- pick value -- dropdown, choose Include or Exclude where offered, and click Add. Repeat to add more values to the same filter. In this example the list uses Open, Status type = Parts arrived and Location = my location.

- Values shown in orange italics, such as my location or me, adapt to whoever opens the list. A Handler filter set to me always shows the orders of the person viewing the list. The Handler filter also offers any assigned and none assigned.

- Optionally, choose how the list is sorted under Sort by and Sort order, or tick Ignore priority so priority orders are not pinned to the top.
- Click Create order list. The panel closes, a confirmation appears, and the list is added to the table with its filters shown as chips.

- Refresh your browser. The new list appears under Orders in the Navigation Sidebar with its order count.

- Click the list to open the orders screen with its filters applied.

Changing an Order List
- Go to User Settings → Order lists.
- Click the list's name, or open the gear menu at the end of its row and click Edit.

- Change the Name, click a filter card to change its values, remove a filter with its ×, or add more with + Add filter.

- Click Save changes.
If a saved value no longer exists (for example, a deleted status or location), Fixably saves the list but shows a warning naming the values it doesn't recognize. Edit the list and pick current values, otherwise the list may show no orders.
Reordering Order Lists
On User Settings → Order lists, drag a list by the handle (≡) at the start of its row to a new position. The new order is saved straight away. Refresh your browser to see it in the Navigation Sidebar.

Deleting an Order List
Open the gear menu at the end of the list's row and click Delete. Deleting a list doesn't change any orders.
Adding the Default Lists
Click Add missing default lists below the table to add any of the built-in lists you don't have yet (My orders, In queue, In queue (all), Incoming, Ready, Completed, plus Scheduled internal, Scheduled GSX, Appointments or Ack List when those features are enabled for your account).
The button only adds lists. It doesn't delete, rename or reorder the lists you already have. Lists it adds go to the end of the table, and you can then edit or reorder them like any other list.
Copying Order Lists to Another User or Account
Lists can't be shared, but you can copy them using the Import & Export menu next to New order list.

- Click Import & Export → Export lists. Fixably downloads all your lists as a .json file.
- Sign in as (or select, see below) the user who should receive the lists, go to User Settings → Order lists and click Import & Export → Import lists.
- Drop the file into the panel or click Upload file, then click Import.

- Imported lists are added next to the existing ones. Nothing is overwritten.
- If a list has the same name as an existing one, a number is added, for example "My orders (2)".
- If any entry in the file is invalid, nothing is imported.
- Lists that point to specific people, locations or stores keep those exact values. When you import into a different account, edit those lists and pick the right values again. Values such as me and my location adapt automatically.
Managing Another User's Order Lists
Administrators, and users whose role has the Manage other users' settings permission, can set up lists for a colleague:
- On User Settings → Order lists, click Select user and pick the colleague.

- Create, edit, reorder, import or export lists as described above. Every change applies to the selected user.
You can only select users with the same or a lower access level than your own.
Editing the Raw Filter Text (Advanced)
Each list is stored as a short line of text, such as open&location={location}&status=parts_arrived. To see or edit it, click Switch to advanced (raw text) in the list's panel, and click Switch back to builder when you're done. If a list contains something the builder doesn't recognize, it opens in advanced mode automatically so nothing is lost.

For every parameter you can use in the raw text, see Order list parameters.
