New Features
Locations
- Location-scoped access: you can now limit a user to the service location(s) they work at, so orders, stock, and tasks from other locations stay out of sight.
- Give branch staff a view of just their own site, while head-office or roaming users can be granted extra locations for cross-site access.
- The dashboard and store selectors automatically show only the locations each user is allowed to see.
Stock
- Stock transfers now follow a full step-by-step process instead of a single move.
- Track a transfer from start to finish with references, reasons, packages, and tracking numbers.
- Hand a transfer to a shipping carrier and follow it just like any other shipment.
Updates to Existing Features
Stock
- Large stock imports now run in the background with a live preview, so the page no longer times out on big files.
- Upload a large stock file and keep working while it processes, then come back when it’s ready to review.
- Once an import has been checked, a clear “Review import” button opens the list of changes so you can see exactly what will happen before you confirm.
- Stock-transfer imports can now include serial numbers and IMEIs, so serialized devices can be transferred in bulk.
- Stock imports can now include the loaner code, so loaner devices come in with their codes already set.
Orders
- Cancelled orders are now handled cleanly across Fixably.
- They drop out of open-order lists and dashboards, no longer block a new order for the same device, and free up any stock they had reserved.
- Searching for the serial number of a cancelled order now opens the device’s details, instead of reopening the old cancelled order.
- When a product’s price changes, that update is now hidden from users who aren’t allowed to see product prices.
Booking app & order-status page
- The booking app and the public order-status page now use an invisible Cloudflare bot check in place of reCAPTCHA.
- No cookies and no consent banner, so the pages stay privacy-friendly while still keeping bots out.
Devices
- “Find My iPhone” is now called “Find My” everywhere, matching Apple’s current wording.
Reports
- In Report Builder, searching a field also matches group and category names, so typing a group name shows all of its fields at once.
- Report Builder runs much faster, so large reports no longer time out.
API
- The shipment API can now include pickup details and extra services such as insurance for supported carriers.
- Invoice, order, purchase order, cost estimate, and payment API responses now include the currency, so integrations no longer have to guess it.
- You can now update a product’s VAT rate through the product update API, matching what was already possible when creating one.
Cost estimate
- Approving a cost-estimate item through the API now works like a manual approval — it asks for a reason, and it won’t raise a portal payment request for repairs the insurer is paying for.
Basel document
- A new optional setting can pre-fill the transit-countries field with the return’s carrier name, which you can still edit before printing.
- You can now set more than one default “Purpose of transport” per return group.
Order lines
- The DOA checkbox has been removed from the order-line edit form. DOA is now set only through the “Mark as DOA” action, which correctly updates GSX.
Bug Fixes
GSX
- After a technician changes an order’s status by hand, GSX sync no longer keeps switching it back to “Waiting for parts”.
- When shared accounts aren’t allowed for repair creation, GSX repairs can no longer be created with one.
- A technician can now create a GSX repair with their own account even if it’s marked as shared; only accounts belonging to someone else are blocked.
- In certain sync timing situations a GSX repair could end up without a purchase order, so replenishment parts couldn’t be received. These repairs now get their purchase order as expected.
- A device description you’ve edited is no longer overwritten when GSX syncs Apple’s placeholder (non-serialized) device.
Appointments
- The calendar’s Late panel now lists only appointments still waiting for the customer, and the details panel shows the appointment status.
- The “Next appointment” column now shows the time in the store’s local timezone instead of UTC.
- Appointment Scheduler reservations that are still active in GSX are no longer cancelled automatically in Fixably.
Invoicing
- Exporting a single consolidated invoice to QuickBooks Online now exports just that invoice, instead of merging all of the customer’s consolidated invoices into one.
- The seller name now shows correctly on German e-invoices.
Orders
- Bulleted and numbered lists in notes now display correctly in the order timeline.
- Whole-number insurance deductibles (for example, 50) are now accepted.
Stock
- The “See orders with this part” button now lists the relevant open orders again.
- The DOA destination stock dropdown now shows “Nothing selected” when it hasn’t been set, so the “Mark as DOA” action appears correctly.
Themes
- Red buttons now display in red in the Legacy light theme, instead of appearing white until clicked.
Basel document
- City matching for facilities now ignores capitalization and small differences in the city name, so returns are matched correctly.
Repair sticker
- Legacy advanced repair stickers no longer cut off characters in your sticker fields.
Purchase orders
- Creating a manual purchase order from the Purchase Orders list now keeps you on that list, instead of jumping to Parts Pending Purchase.
Macros
- The estimate step in macros now shows the correct total for lines with a quantity greater than one.
- The email macro now picks up terms and conditions set at the queue level, so those attachments are included as expected.
- The sender and handler name variables now fill in correctly in snippets.
