Using Outgoing Manifests in Fixably

Fixably’s new Outgoing Manifests feature creates a more convenient and consistent workflow for creating shipments for large batches of Orders.

Using Manifests

  1. From the Navigation Sidebar, click Manifests and then Outgoing.
  2. You'll see a list of Manifests that that can have Orders assigned to them.
  3. Click on any of the Pending Manifests to expand the details.
     

Creating a Manifest

  1. From Outgoing Manifests, click the New Manifest button.
  2. Fill out the Manifest creation form.
    1. Manifest Number: Fill in if you want to use a specific value. Fixably will automatically generate the number if the field is left empty. This value can be searched in the Universal Search Bar.
    2. Customer - Select a customer profile from your existing Fixably customer database.
    3. Reference - Add a reference number if desired.  
    4. Location - If your tenant has multiple locations, select the one these devices will be received.
    5. Tracking Number - If you know the tracking number at this stage of the process, you can add it. It can also be added during the Outgoing Shipment workflow.
    6. Quantity - Add the quantity of Orders that can be added to this Outgoing Manifest. This acts as a control point to ensure the correct amount of Orders are being shipped.
  3. You can also use Tasks with Manifests.
    1. Admins can make certain Tasks visible in the Manifest form.
    2. This field will update the corresponding Task field for each Order linked to the Manifest.
    3. This allows Manifests to support more detailed workflows containing additional data points.

 

Adding Orders to Manifests

  1. From Outgoing Manifests, click on the Manifest you want to add Orders to.
  2. Scan the first item by it's Order Number, IMEI or Serial Number
  3. The Order will be added to the Prepared for Shipping section. For an Order to be added to a Manifest, the Customer on the Order needs to match the Customer on the Outgoing Manifest.
  4. Continue adding any additional Orders using the same process. 
  5. When you are finished adding Orders, click the Request Shipment button. If successful, you'll see a confirmation message
  6. You'll see a List of the Orders added to the Shipment.
  7. Click the Print button to generate an Outgoing Manifest Document.

 

Shipping an Outgoing Manifest

  1. When an Outgoing Manifest is prepared for shipment, a new Outbound Shipping Request will be created.

Processed Outgoing Manifests

  1. To view Processed Manifests, click the Processed Outgoing Manifests button under Manifests in the Navigation Sidebar.
  2.  
  3. A list of received items will be displayed. You can also easily access each individual Order from the list.
  4. Use the Search field to narrow your selection. You can also use the Actions button to export your Manifest as an XLS file. This export will contain any Task and Tracking Number details that are associated with the Manifest.
